Maybe, maybe not....Ford did internally publish a few factoids such as this, but they are rare, were never intended for the general public, are extremely hard to verify and may apply to only one area such as CA, not the whole country. Incidently, the 1972 paint listed is plain "medium blue" by Ditzler. duPont or Glidden Paints. Anything else was a special order, which sometimes happened. An informal survey I dis 20 years ago in N.CA showed that more than half of the cars were red, the next biggest group (about 20%) was black (not a stock color except for GTS) and the rest were six other colors. The least common was lime or seafoam-green (aqua green metallic).
