I would make sure that the hole in the back of the crank that holds the pilot is full. I would lightly grease the splines too. Smear the face of the throwout bearing as well. Use synthetic. Some one on the forum was having truble shifing when the car got hot. Another member thought that if the pilot bush was dry and draged it would cause that condition and it makes sense to me.
I would be careful about the synthetic. I put the stuff in my Lamborghini, and within a week my transaxle was leaking badly, about a large cup of coffee every time I drove it. Luckily I didn't cook the trans. I had to replace two axle seals. other than that, I have had good luck with synthetic, but as often as I change my oil it's probably not worth it to me. I run 80w90 gear oil in my Pantera, and Lambo.
