Great plates

Not that I think this is any better...but nothing says Great Plates better than Great Kat

I've been through a few great plates and not so great plates. My favorite was I8A4RE when I was running OR plates. Unfortunately, it was not available when I registered the beast in OH. So, I tried something a little too sophisticated for the hot rod crowd I run around with--E VELOCE (IT'S FAST in Italian; nobody got it. I finally ended up "stealing" a plate I saw in one of the PI feature stories--Biarritz Blue-An Italian/American Hot Rod. That plate says it all.

The first custom plate I ever saw was ITS FAST on a Ferrari Boxer from New York. I tried to get PANTERA (who hasn't) but it was taken, so I asked them to try ITS FAST. I was shocked that it was available. And so...

UFO sighting.

I have to chuckle every time I see "UFO". Years back there was a UFO in Des Moines. It was running SCCA roadraces and autocrosses. UFO stood for "Uncommonly Fast Opal". It was a 1900 Opal sedan.

Can't show it to you yet because I'm still waiting for DMV to send it to me. Takes 8 to 12 weeks to get. Should have it in another 3 to 4 weeks.

Here is a pic of my "Prova" test plate, with the "MO" for Modena, and 2492 the body number. Yes, I run it on the street, and have one so for almost a year. only beem pulled over onve, the cop wanted to check out the car........no ticket.

700 HP

Every time I go to Huntington Beach CA on Main Street there is this nice white GT5 cruising with a "700 HP" plate. Thought it was a kool plate, and don't know how he got it because DMV told me you can't have such numbers followed by letters as a custom order plate. Maybe so, maybe not, but it was a kool plate nonetheless. Anyone know the owners name & email?

OK, I messed up when I ordered mine because I found out it is actualy a 73 model but it was built in november of 72 and it is an S not a 5 so go ahead and give me crap about it, cause I deserve it and some day I will fix it, but got bigger fish to fry right now.

Ahhh George, I can't take any credit for that. It was just by chance sort of thing. I just got lucky I guess.

Like the phrase "there's only two seats and I sit in the left one"; there's only one Arizona "Pantera" plate and it is attached to the rear of my car.

In my state the A is used..I got them today! I did not even have to stand in line @ the DMV.
