When using hard block, I have to think that it would be best to pour it when you have the heads and main caps torqued in place. Am I correct on this.

Its best to pour in the hard block BEFORE you bore & hone the cylinders, because it will distort them and ruin any chance to get a good ring seal otherwise. Some are worse than others.

Some of the threads I've read have mentioned some deformatiton caused by the grout as it cures thus torque plate hone recommended afterward. Also have seen remarks about increases in oil temp depending upon fill. May be worth checking this out especially for high HP P'car.

Let it cure for 30 days before boring/honing too. It takes that long for it to settle.
