Hastings rings

They have been around a long time and are a quality ring. I used them clear back in the 60's.

Hastings are very good rings. I have used them on many engines. They are great for rebuilds where you dont bore the cylinder, but just deglaze. They are known for cutting in and seating very fast. There are probably better high performance rings if you are going to race, but they are fine in a general rebuild that will see occational track use.

You say the brand is Hastings,( which is a good brand). you don't say what style ?? Cast Iron, Moly, Plasma moly ?
std fit or file backs ?
They are all different qualities.

Thanks for all the input. It looks like its a consensus that they are good rings, I have confidence in them now. Oh, They are Moly rings #2M 139 030 then on the left written vertically is A3201.
