Got up this morning and decided to take the car for a ride. The early morning weather was cool and tha car ran really smooth. Labour day weekend has a large show (500+ cars, 4000 to 5000 spectators) on the border town between Ontario and Quebec. So I purposely arrive later than most so I can park in an area away from Main Street so I can leave around 2, instead of after the 3 to 4pm.

I get a nice spot behind the Autoparts store with some shade. Guess who drives in 15 minutes later? Denis B

An hour later one of the judges comes along and asks if we can move our cars to Main Street. Unusual but hey let's please the organisers.( too slow to figure what's next) Yes my plan to leave at 2pm is scrapped. We right in front of the show organiser's table and leaving would be quite rude and impolite so we have to wait till all the awards and raffles and speeches,

Long story short and DenisB gets 2nd place in the Import Category and I get 2nd place in the Exotic category (1st place is a custom Corvette ?)

Ends-up we had a beautiful day met a lot of interesting people, had fun and walked away with some brand recognition/

Glad you buys were out representing the rest of us as we fulfilled other duties. Congrats to both of you on taking home great awards. That is pretty impressive given the size and quality of the cars at the Hawkesbury show. If I remember correctly, wasn't Dennis Gage there last year with his TV crew? Well done!

Mark
