Curt came down to Fresno yesterday and we spent the day installing his Vader headlight kit. Before buttoning up everything, we tested the new Hella H4 units and I saw two low and two high beams.

Once we had everything locked down and had relocated the headlight motor relay - NOTE: 35 year old micro nuts and bolts rust together just like large nuts and bolts - the headlights came up and the passenger low beam is just ever so dimly glowing. That is about when we found the cracked switch, pulled it out and did a Rube Goldberg tie wrap, fiberglass packing tape rebuild and he made a dash for home before it got totally dark on 99.

So everything worked fine - then it didn't. I suspect ground or wiring, but had no time to troubleshoot.

Having had that same problem a couple years ago, the solution for mine was to access the wiring harness connectors behind the headlight buckets by removing the wheel then the access cover. Pull the connector apart and clean both male and female connections. B

Before reconnecting, slide a shrink wrap wire protector over the connector, then connect and shrink the wrap. Wrap electrical tape around that shrink wrap. I even went so far as to plastic tie wrap the tape.
