I think your Goose is a early 4-headlight, so I presume you mean your Pantera. It could be the light switch finally failed. All the power goes thru the switch. I suggest adding relays, Bob Timma, makes a fusebox/relay package and Rick Moseley makes the relay package I installed. Before I added the Timma box.
Nice stuff, both.
You should start with the fuse box, replacing "stock" euro fuses with "Buss" pointed fuses. Next clean all the contacts, DeTomaso used Lucas type electriacal parts, so the metal connectors were NOT plated. Clean everything including checking the ground wires.
Use contact cleaner from Radio Shack, for example.
To raise the lights (to get home) there is a knob near the radiator on the driver's side.
About a million turns later, they will have finally risen.
The "limit" switch which tells the motor to turn off, can also fail, usually due to corrosion on the contacts.
Clean clean clean.
Connector failure is common. Clean and life is good.
There is a junction block under the dash on the driver's side of the steering wheel that can cause it's own problems.
Also the plug that connects to the headlight bulb itself can also need cleaning, but it sounded like both your lights failed, not just one side.
Let me know, and I can help diagnose further.
