I'LL BE USING THE CLEVELAND OUT OF MY 72 PANTERA IN MY 57 FORD SEDAN DELIVERY. IT WILL BE 377CUIN PROCHARGER BLOWN WITH 14PSI OF INTERCOOLED AIR,HYDRAULIC ROLLER,TORKER AND 750CFM HOLLY. WHAT CAN I DO TO INCREASE THE EXHAUST FLOW OF MY 4V HEADS OR WHAT IS YOUR RECCOMENDATION OF ANOTHER RELETIVELY INEXPENSIVE HEAD. I'D LIKE THE HEADS TO FLOW 320PLUS INTAKE AND 220PLUS EXHAUST.
ANY IDEAS??? THIS IS A STREET MOTOR
THANKS RC

DID YOU MEAN TO SAY THE HEADS ARE OK OR THAT THEY WONT FLOW EVEN WITH A BLOWER? RC

IMHO, theres not a lot that can be done to increase exhaust flow in cast iron 4V heads. The exhausts are severely crumpled, in order to miss std Ford car frame rails. NASCAR builders cut almost the whole exhaust side of the head off and fabricated a huge steel plate with a new higher exhaust port in it, but durability was iffy. The true fix is to not use iron heads, but that is NOT a cheap change. I believe that even with a blower, you'll find std 4-V ports to not be too restrictive. Remember, you're dealing with a thin wall block, so be very careful to not bore the block at all, and pray for no backfires unless you sonic-test it first.
