hi all,
new pantera owner and smiling from ear to ear! am wanting to re-connect the heater hoses to the pipes that run thru the tunnel. i do not have any diagrams regarding the routing of the hoses and am asking for advice here. does it matter which outlet (water pump or engine nipple) either pipe is connected to? can i just route the hoses the best way possible or is there a "proper way"? do i need a 90degree bend to hook to the tunnel pipes? thanks for any and all advice!

I believe you can rout them whatever way works for you. I also believe that you should add a manual shut-off valv somewhere in each of the the two hoses. The valves will be used to positively shut off water flow to the heater core in the summer; the stock in-dash heater control will not, due to a conflict between the undere-dash valve and the leverage of the stoch cable control. Most of us use brass ball valves with 1/4-turn levers that are reachable from outside the car, and these are required for open track events, for safety. They also markedly improve the performance of the stock air conditioning. 90 degree bends make it easier to clear the engine harmonic balencer.
