I realize the stock clutch is a little firm. I have a Mangusta with a Centerforce diaphragm clutch and steel flywheel. The clutch still feels firm and it difficult to modulate in heavy traffic. The Pantera has an effort reduction kit which seems to reduce the feel of the clutch by half. Does this kit work on the Mangusta?n Does anyone have any experience with this on a Mangusta.

Ben,

To your original question, no, the Pantera effort reduction kit will not work in a Goose. Two different animals!

I run the stock Ford pressure plate and find it stiff but not objectionable....until you get stuck in traffic....but then I could complain about a lot of Goose stuff....when you get stuck in traffic!!!

I also had kevlar friction surfaces installed on my clutch disc. It cost me about 700% more than a garden variety disc, but it cuts down on wear and tear on my flywheel and the pressure plate! Also, the engagement is nice and smooth, progressive if you would.... I like it and will be doing the same to my other other ride when I get to it!

I used to run a Centerforce in my "other ride" (1968 Cougar) and eventually took it out and returned to a stock Long style (3 finger) pressure plate. I found only the initial pedal resistance was reduced, perhaps the first 25-30% of travel...after that, it still took a good deal of pressure to hold the pedal down!

I'm gonna hafta dig out my old Goose flywheel, and the old Centerforce pressure plate, and see if they fit....just because all this talk of stuff not working, not fitting.....is bugging me! I just have a bad case of CRS right now......and can't keep it all straight!

Will tune in later here with some results....

Ciao!
Steve
