I stopped for gas and while waiting to pull in with pedal depressed I felt the clutch pedal jerk and drop halfway down. Everything is new (master, slave, clutch, pressureplate, line etc) as I just did a full resto. By the time I got home and into my driveway ( 2 miles) I had almost no pedal pressure (couldnt get into gear) , similar to how it was before I bled it. I don't see any leaks. Is it possible my master cylinder failed suddenly like that?

I’ve been using Castrol GT LMA http://www.castrol.com/castrol...13&contentId=7024043 for 12 years in my NOS system and it works great. Meets DOT 3 and 4 spec. I don’t think I’ve ever seen DOT 3 in the stores. Always thought the DOT 3 and 4 rating had to do with the boiling point http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DOT_3

The Ford tech manual specification recomends Ford ESA-M6C25-A, DOT-3.
