marlinjackThe Machinist #5723 AMARGOSA MACHINE 'Running on Empty- Middle of Nowhere'
...Since YOU asked! I have one Pair of 'DeTomaso' (aftermarket replica) Cast Aluminum valve/rocker covers. In the 'Raw', No paint, Not polished. One cover does have a couple of spots on the lip/edge that was ground (3/16") to clear the throttle bracket and intake manifold, Stupid of me! You can have them for $85. Plus Shipping. Anyone else want them!? You can contact me at: panther@starnetdial.net Thanks!
Contact me directly, the e-mail I have for you failed. I want to update my address book.
No, I don't have a set of valve covers for sale. (yes I have a few spares, but not for sale.)
The valve covers you may seek have now and then been on eBay, often selling CHEAP !
Some company obviously re-tooled to make them, and was blowing them out in the last 3-6 months. They sold *LOTS* at their initial bid of I think $49.99. Search ebay (closed auctions), to find them.
I didn't jump on it at the time, because all I would do is add yet another pair to my collection, and then end up selling them later. Make a few bucks or lose a few bucks, not worth the trouble, as I already have at least one set like them in each variation.
I'm sure someone bought a spare set they may offer you.
Some were finished (typical), some were unfinished, some were even polished, and or painted. LOTS to choose from.
Shop, compare, and get what YOU really want the first time, unless you want to build a collection like what I did. (Yes I have a shopping/collection disorder.)
I have not seen the $50 sets for a while, and maybe Marlin's offer is now "market price"...

Thanks Chuck, I just got the last e-mail you sent!
I would prefer the black crinkle with the clear silver raised deTomaso and ribs. If anyone out there has the same affliction Chuck has (and I have) and DOES have what I describe - or know where I can source (reasonably), I'd be very appreciative to hear more! Many thanks!
