289 Hi Po engines used in the Mangusta. What year/date are they. ID is on top corner of the block near the front of the head. Also does anyone know if these blocks came with the casted or stamped "3" on the rear main cap.

Bob,

When I had the chance to check out #508 one day at the owner's shop, the dates were all 1967 or 68.. I think the heads were "19"'s which was a standard hipo casting.

Didn't have the pan off so couldn't tell you about the main caps.
