holley 750 choke

I realize that this doesn't answer your question, but I can tell you where NOT to get the power from. There are numerous stories of people powering their choke from the coil. This acts as an effective rev-limiter and you will be unhappy with the results. You'll need to find another source.

Some people have used the hot post on the back of the alternator as an effective power point. The disadvantage of course is that its not only unregulated, its un-fused. So if such things bother you, use an inline fuse of maybe 15 amps (not sure what wattage the choke heaer draws)

Thanks Charles and Jack. I had heard about the coil functioning as a rev limiter so needed another sourcr. Thanks for the help.
