This Holley 4160 has been on the motor for about 7 years and it recently developed an idle problem. It functions fine when cold, but after warm-up it wants to idle high. If you goose the throttle, it will usually return to normal idle. If you press the linkage with your thumb, it will return to normal idle, but it takes a bit of pressure.
I added another spring to the throttle linkage to try and force it to return to idle, but even that does not overcome the problem.
Is it possible that the electric choke is malfunctioning when hot? Any other things I should check?
