Hood (Front) Won't Pop Up | The De Tomaso Forums

I've got a couple of questions on the front hood mechanism.

When I pull the cable to release the hood, it won't pop up. I have to use a flat stick to lift the hood out of engagement with the pin.

Here's a picture - it looks to me like the latch isn't set up right.

Also, I see that there should be an "emergency hood release cable" inside the cockpit. Does anyone know where it goes in at?

Rocky,

Try reconnecting the spring that's dangling from the release cable. Can't tell from the pic if the other end of the spring is broken. One end goes on the tab (with the notch) that is just above where the spring is hanging in your pic, and the other end goes on the opposite side where the notch is above the mounting stud.
