I've basically been off the board for a few months, so hello to all the guys I've had the pleasure of meeting, and the members I haven't yet meet.

I was looking for recommendations on traveling through Germany from Frankfurt on May 28th and traveling by bike to Amsterdam June 1 or 2. The long way of course

I was also hoping to add a few fellow Pantera owners as emergency contacts while I'm there.

Mark .. while in Amsterdam if you should get hungry ... one of my favorite places Ristorante Teartro .. its on Kadijksplien 16 1018 AC Amsterdam .. across from the BOATEL .. I had an apt across the street for a few years. Also keep in mind May the 5th is Declaration Day in the Netherlands to Honor the Soldiers of WW2 ..a Big Party Time.

Mark,

I had spent a bout 3 years on and off in Amsterdam and Arnhem ( near the border of Germany ) and I never once had even a minor issue with theft or a threat. But then again I grew up working in NYC, Harlem and the South Bronx. LOL I never had an issue. Good Luck and enjoy .. I really miss those days .. and stay away from the windows with the little red lights. LOL
I've been visiting Amsterdam, off-and-on, for the last 9 years. I believe the "Cops" show spent some time there... So yeah, great party town...but it has a definite "bad-boy" presence. Your hotel should provide secure parking for your bike..

If you run into trouble in SW Germany, give me a call. PM me and I'll give you my cell. I live in Kusel which is about 30 minutes from the French border and 90 minutes SW of Frankfurt. Be sure and keep the US Embassy numbers handy. Ya' never know..
