This Saturday, January 24, marks the one year anniversary of the untimely death of PCNC member Tony Harvey. Besides his ever-present smile and always pleasant personality, Tony is often remembered for his long-distance exploits carried out on his not-too-direct journeys to the April Fun Rally in Las Vegas. Shortly before his death in his Jaguar at the hands of an inept driver, Tony closed a DeTomaso forum post by writing -
"Use your car for what it was intended - DRIVE IT!"
So if Saturday sees the roads clear of snow in your neighborhood, or the sunshine is calling to you, or the rain clouds don't look too threatening, why not take Tony's words to heart? Grab the keys, dust the garage lint off your Pantera, top off the tank with some 91 octane, and hit the road. Tony is no longer here to go on his own drives, but we are - and I'd like to think if a bunch of Panteras sneak out of their Winter hibernation maybe he'll be watching - and smiling that special smile of his.
