I have my pantera in storage. the last time I started it the revs were at 3000 and wouldn't come down. Where is the idel adjustment on the stock carb? My pantera is a 1971, thanks
Check the bracket on the intake manifold where the throttle cable spigots in. Sometimes the cable jacket slips out, putting about 3000 rpms worth of tension on the throttle. I safety-wired the jacket to the bracket so this wouldn't happen regularly.

It also sounds like the FAST IDEL could be sticking, not releasing on the choke, since it was in storage. But if you can't find the idel adjustment, your surely not going to find the fast idel cam. Marlin.
