I just had my 72 L dynoed and was told by the technician that the coil and ignition box needs to be replaced. He said the Duraspark distributor is fine. The Jacobs coil and stock Ignition box that was purchased from Hall's to match the distributor works fine until 5500 rpm and then falls flat on its face. The technician recommended a Crane coil and MSD box, but he cautioned to inquire to see if they would be compatible with the stock electronic Tach that is already in the car. Could someone enlighten me so as I can make the right decision. Thanks!

I would recomend the 6AL box.You could also run the 6A box but the rev limiter is worth the extra couple of dollars.Do not run the 7AL box as it gets to hot for long term street use.The ford dist. is fine but if you ever want to upgrade id recomend the MSD PRO BILLET.Its smaller than the reg. billet so it fits better. The reg. billet fits but its really close to the firewall.
