Thanks for checking. I'll find out first hand everything I do/don't want to know - I purchased the car and am awaiting delivery. The previous owner was the third owner and appears to have done some common sense improvements/modifications. The paint seems to have issues as it is bubbling in some places but overall it seems like a decent car which is what I was looking for.
Oh my, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you mentioned the paint has issues because it is bubbling in areas. What areas? This is not a paint issue, it is a rust issue, and it has no doubt worked its way from INSIDE your car to finally work its way to the paint. Were you not aware of the Pantera rust issue?!! I'l cross my fingers for you and hope your rust dealing are minimal. Please tell us where you have these 'paint' problems.

I'm aware of the rust isses that these cars have. The bubbles are showing mostly in the center of the rear deck and some on the front deck with others scattered about. There didn't appear to be rust in the usual spots that you would look. I will get a more detailed layout soon and for the time being will just have to see what happens. I too hope the problems are minimal.
Bubbling in those areas may have other causes than rust. When my car was purchased, the hood had a huge bubble area that I sanded down & repainted twice- and it came back each time. I finally stripped the hood and found that in one of its previous owners' resprays, a body shop had used some poorly mixed two-part 'fiber-fill'- or 'body-schutz' as a builder, and the unusued catylist was bleeding upeward into any paint added. Stripping will tell the tale and will likely be needed regardless of the cause.
