Does anyone know how tight to make the window glass mounting to the bracket? the bolts go through the glass it what appears to be a plastic piece. I can't imaging that it could have much in the way of foot lbs. for tightening. Obviously don't want to much or it could break the glass.

I just had mine out a few months ago. I just hand tightened as much as I could. So far so good.
The OEM gaskets are black, U-shaped, and have round “bumps” to cushion the bolts so they don’t touch the edge of the holes.
Just tighten things so the glass is held in place. Shouldn’t take too much.

I'm in the testing process of the motor. When I take it to fully down the motor tries to continue on and thumps. Any thoughts?
Motor should stop moving when you release the switch.
is it installed in your car or are you bench testing this?

The motor does stop when switch is released. I've tested both bench and in car. When I go full up the motor stops on it's own without releasing the switch. Curious as to why it stops in one direction and not the other without releasing the switch.
Check the engagement of the gears. It sounds like they are skipping in the down direction.
