Jack is it a good idea to install some sort of reflectant or insulation or both to the divider that goes behind the seats. In the area where the bulge is and where the waterpump is?

Couldn't hurt. Not too much heat comes thru the firewall area; most seems to come through the floor and gearshift boot, from the long water pipes running to & from the engine. However, lots of engine noise comes thru the firewall & hatch area. Do a quick check: note the temperature outside & inside the car after say a 15-minute drive. Then add the aluminized stuff under the firewall upholstery, maybe under the floor & the doors and re-do the 15 minute drive. Send me the data and I'll co-write a tech article for PI, and you & your car will be famous!
