The EPA in Germany is insane. We ALL have to wake up to overreaching bureaucracy, or we will be Germany. The unelected bureaucrats at the EPA are at war with the internal combustion engine, your Pantera, they would love to outlaw your car, what's happening in Germany was just outlined happening in Hawaii over bumpers! The Pantera should be exempt from any rules over modification, auto exhaust has no barring on the climate, it's just a job creator and economy destroyer, all BS
Hi Chris, I feel compelled to comment on your post. The situation here in Germany is actually a little more complicated than meets the eye. I`m trying to register my car as an historic car. This gives me financial benefits (low road tax) amongst other things.Flip side is the car has to be original in all major body and mechanical components. This includes all intake components. Fair enough. Tit for tat. Unfortunately I pulled the short straw and landed with an inspector who feels he should act beyond the call of duty. I won`t go into further details. Yes, you are right. We should stand up against unnecessary bureaucracy. Our cars are few in numbers and are driven relatively seldom. They give us joy and we fuel the economy. I will support people who have a pragmatic view of things, who are able to strike a healthy balance between differing and ever changing views. Enjoy driving your Pantera while you can. I sure am.
