Key blank numbers

Johnk , good question ? I bought new original ket blanks on ebay but not sure what the next step would be? remove them and take them to a lock smith. I have only one ignition key but no door or deck lid keys.

First off, go to the old time locksmith in your town, not Home Depot ;-)

tell him door locks are fiat, circa 1970 and ignition is '70-72 Ford Capri. He probably will just go to the back room and grab them.

but failing that...from my keys

ignition = Taylor X20 or a DL key has multiple numbers on it - X20,FC2, and KL6

locks = ilco FT38, F79-3 or Taylor F79-3

Duplicates are much cheaper than calling a AAA locksmith :-)

Yea, that's exactly where I went today, the oldest hardware store in town, I think they still had flags with 13 stars.. LOL.. Problem is that I had a 15 year old kid trying to help me. I had already purchased 2 blank ignition keys off Ebay for a few dollars, I didn't know they were Capri keys. What about the rear deck key, isn't that different than the doors?

Deck key should match doors if the locks are original.

I went to my local True Value store with the old style grinder.Older guy ,took his time but he got them to work.Walmart was useless.
