We had a bit of snow last night - and only my eldest is snuggled into his bed right now, the others have spent hours digging tunnels into the snow banks, storing food and putting on about 6 layers of clothes - this is how they think they're gonna spend the night ...

Driving in snow has it's pros and cons, the worst is when a normally 20 minute drive takes 4 hours (I've experienced that quite a few times over the years, and I'm sure others in Canada and the Northern states can attest to that and worse).

On the plus side (and I'd never do it now), in my youth, I loved taking my z-car out into empty snow=covered parking lots and doing doughnuts - it was a great way to get used to controlling skids without burning through a set of tires. Of course, I blame winter driving (SALT) for the rust that finally claimed the Z (that and the lack of rustproofing in the early cars) Frowner
