This is the first time I've seen the bumpers installed on a painted car and I really like the blue.

Just an FYI to the readers---This new style was designed as a counter part to the front splits. The most important improvement is they do not require new holes for mounting---just the impact shock hole so you can put the original L rear bumper (or fronts if you are using the splits) back on at any time.

Here's a picture of the L replacement front split bumpers.

I like those, they look great!

I like the way it opens up the back of the car - makes the rear screen more pronounced - did not really notice it with the L bumper on it

Planning on working with the lic. plate mount - i would like to move it up about 1" - make the bottom of the plate even with the body line

I did a weight comparison on the bumpers today. A stock original rear bumper with impact shocks weighs 28 pounds. The new replacement split bumpers weigh 4.5 pounds total. That is a 23.5 pound weight savings. Just an FYI.

Mine have arrived and look awesome. Very neat fabrication.

They are in primer and will be painted tomorrow for fittment. Pics to follow.

I replaced the front a while back - it weighs more than the back bumper - the front bumper is a F*%^@%* ROCK!

I weighed the original front L bumper and impact shocks today and ended up with a total of 31 pounds. My new replacement front splits totaled 3 pounds giving your L Pantera a 28 pound diet.

Awesome! As already said, a huge cosmetic improvement with a weight reduction to boot. Any chance for a group buy discount? The economy has done its thing to my wallet!

No, the bumpers are glass and come ready for priming and painting.

The finish and fit is excellent. I painted mine and put them on the car yesterday. Car is on the hoist so I can't get very good pictures just now, but I stood back and was very happy with the results.

My car came witht he USA L series bumper which doesn't suit the car and and I really wanted the Euro look. Unfortunately to repair the large holes left when you remove the L bumpers would require the car to be painted so I chose to go with Kirk's new design.

The car now looks fantastic and I can't wait to get the radiator back in, new windscreen fitted, and be back on the road.

Fiberglass, eh? Hmmm. OK, how do the rears mount onto the bumper struts?

You remove the impact shocks and they mount through the remaining hole and double sided tape along the top. The tape does most of the work---the mechanical fastener is for back-up.

Rest assured this is a proven method for attaching the part but should use heat to remove them.

Whilst the car is on the hoist I can take a picture into the rear wheel area and you may be able to see how Kirk designed them to attach to the car.

Super easy to fit and look fantastic.

My rear bumper are bolt-ons from Kirk. Had to drill two holes to mount. I think they are the first gen, but I really like them..!
FYI everything I have ever got from Kirk is the best... and fits... and looks great...!

I'm considering these for my 73 L. Can someone provide a little more detail on what is required for mounting? Do the fronts require removing the radiator for access?

Did someone say group buy discount?

To install the front, you do not have to remove anything but the old L bumper, impact shocks, wheels/tires and the wheel well shields for inner fender access.

For the back, you need to remove the L bumper, impact shocks and you're ready to install the new split rears---that's it.

The front bumpers bolt into the original 3 holes on each side and the rears have a mechanical fastening system attaching to through the impact shock holes---no drilling is needed to install the new design.

Now if I could ever get Reliable Carriers (more like UNReliable) to deliver my car. But that will be a thread of its own in due time...
