Can anybody help me with the part number for the Koni shocks for a 1972 Pantera.
I want to buy these in Europe due to the high shipping costs and import taxes.

Rears: 82-1601-sp1.
Note that we were told the above shocks have been out of production since 1985. If you are successful in buying them in The Netherlands, let us know how you did it

Does Koni rebuild these shocks. I hope so as I need some suspension, including shocks, to further complete my rebuild. The gentleman did ask an important question:what other currently available shock would fit and do a good job?

Koni will rebuild your shocks for you. I had my shocks off of my 71 rebuilt. You must send them to Koni in Kentucky. $100 each when I had mine done.
As for 'other shocks', simply measure your stock coil-overs compressed & extended (remove the springs first), then look to Bilstein etc for a matching size. Besides Koni N.A. in Florence KY, there are a few Pantera shops that will rebuild or buy old Konis, notably Pat Mical (www.patsauto.com) Most of the Vendors sell new replacement coil-overs of various brands as well, saving you the legwork to find one that fits & has correct damping for the fairly heavy Pantera.
