“Kudos” to RBT

I got my ZF back from RBT last week. “Kudos” to Lloyd and his crew, they did a complete overhaul and safety wired it. Then a fabulous polish job that looks like a mirror. I should have the engine finished within the next two week, and then off to the Dyno for testing and break-in. Can’t wait to see how the whole power train comes together!

Just curious, how long did it take for the whole process (polishing and rebuilding of the transaxle)?

About 5 weeks start to finish. A lot of the time depends on the polishers back log.

Probably a combination of the slowed economy and the fact the Quaife ZFQ came out to fill the void. With the now low again GBP exchange rate the ZFQ is again under $10K new, versus the alternative of obtaining a ZF of unknown history and then having it flipped for GT40 orientation (a $3K exercise alone)
