L bumper conversion

You need to weld in the holes for the "shocks". Then acquire the "Pre-L" bumpers (front) wiothout the lenses, as you have the turn-pods, or fill in the turn pods (more welding).
Rear just weld in the holes.

There was a lot of info there but nothing that covered replacing the rear L bumper with the pre-L bumper.

I WAS PONDERING TAKING THE FRONT L BUMPER OFF! BUT INSTEAD OF WELDING THE HOLES SHUT I WOULD SNAP IN FLUSH MOUNTING PLUGS(FLAT BLACK OR PAINTED TO MATCH). BUT I DO LIKE THE WAY THE RUBBER BUMPER GIVES THE NOSE A MORE POINTED LOOK, AND MOST IMPORTANT IS MAINTAINING THE PROTECTION FROM ROCK CHIPS AND ROAD DEBRIS. AS FOR THE REAR BUMPER, I LIKED THE WAY IT LOOKED WHEN THE LARGE METAL THING WAS IN THE CHROME SHOP, NOW IT BLINDS EVERYBODY THAT COMES UP BEHIND ME WITH THEIR HIGH BEAMS ON! AND THEN AGAIN CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING REAR ENDED WITH NO BUMPER OR JUST BUMPERETTES! THE STEEL PIECE ISN'T MUCH BUT IT IS BETTER PROTECTION THAN NOTHING AT ALL. MARLIN
