Heard that Annual POCA in Las Vegas has a tentative schedule of May 3-May 7 and will be held again at the Orleans in 2006.

Any idea when this will be "written in stone"? I checked with my travel agency. Would you believe that the charters from here are already beginning to fill up for the month of May 2006? Going to Vegas with this charter saves me big bucks.
Was told by Bob Reid that the contracts were in his hand from the Orleans.

The 2006 Las Vegas Speed Trials, sponsored yet again by PCNC, will be on Thursday and Friday, May 4 and May 5.
And again at Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, up in Pahrump. We are running the same track layout as last year, but will look at the newer, longer course as a possible change for 2007. Of course, the longer track means more rental charge and that means increased driver registration charge.
For those that have never tracked your car, this is THE best place to try it out. Very low cost, a very low number of registrants that means track is not too crowded, and support and guidance from those in the know. Street car or vintage racer, there is a group class for you.
Remember, this is a real track event; where you get to shift gears and turn corners, not just put it in fifth and enjoy the drive ;-)

I usually fly up with the Vacations Hawaii charters. They are the cheapest and include air, room, and 3 meals a day. You can't get a round trip flight for the price of the package. I fly up, stash my bags downtown and stay at the MGM where I get comped rooms. It's a 10 minute drive to the Orleans where the POCA event is. Vacations has an interisland leg deal for their charters too.

I forgot, if you choose to go this route, make your reservations ASAP after the POCA dates are confimed. The charters fill up early.

I will be coordinating and be the MC the POCA Annual Raffle in Vegas for 2006.
I've already started the accumulation of things to be given away as raffle prizes.
If anyone has anything they would like to donate or knows of any vendors outside our normal vendors that would like to donate something towards the raffle, please let me know.
I am working on ways to get them recognition for their contributions that I'm sure they will be pleased with.

The funny part was the Hotel Security never approached Coz rolling that tire through the hotel! People would stare and we'd tell them that he hit the jackpot, three more and he'd have the complete set!
