Need the dimensions of the later Mangusta frame to body reinforcement "wings" | The De Tomaso Forums

Myself, and perhaps a few others need to add these to the earlier cars. Any help with dimensions, would be much appreciated by all of us.

At some point, this will evolve (devolve?) into a discussion of when the wings were added, and my collection of pics have them appearing very late, between high 900's and 1000

Measurements from 8MA1244 a=140mm , b=15mm, c=65mm, d=35mm at innermost diameter (it is swaged), e=same as d, k=15mm, k=150°

angle between b&k = 130°..

Rivets are copper

Make sure all welds are bronze and sloppy laugh

Awesome. Thank you. I like your style where you noticed that all the Mangusta dimensions are an "even" metric number, like the steel on the framework being 20mm x 40mm, or 40mm x 80mm

FYI, my car 8MA*1298 has no extra braces fitted!

This is the third last Mangusta built and one of the ten RHD cars made.

in the second photo, the Width is 10mm and the Height is 30mm (solid bar).
