I know everyone sells a 3 or 4 row aluminum radiator, but I don't believe it is necessary. The tubes on the newer radiatiors are quite a bit wider, so the 2 row have the same cooling capacity as the conventional 4 row, 30 year old brass rad's. Plus the aluminum one will weigh in at about 14#.
So, I'll have $250 for the radiator, plus $30 for lower mounting brackets, $10 for a new fan sensor, with 1/2 NPT American Threads, plus shipping. So, I'll have about $300 to convert to a laydown style radiator.
By the way, Roush sells USED Flexalite fans for $20, on their racing websight. You can get all sizes. They are from the race cars/trucks, so I assume they have hundreds. I am getting 2 new, to me, ones from them.
Also, NAPA stores have their own brand of 1-3/8 radiator hose. It comes in 3 foot lengths and sells for $7.99/foot. One section of hose is enough to do the whole car, I think.
