Larry, on my #4366, the left side motor mount had TWO holes, making it useable on either sides. Maybe the factory rationalized the parts sometime in the L series, instead of using a dedicated right and left side mount? As you say, the only difference is the hole placement so if you own a 1/2" hand drill, the problem is trivial.

I have probably 20 mount bases and NONE of them have two holes in them.
