any clues ?
new switch?

It is time to replace the light switch. There is a plastic tab inside the switch that gets hot, distorts and eventually stops making contact. The switching on and off trick will work for a while, but at some point it won't and the headlight doors will shut and the lights will go out. Not a fun thing at highway speeds.
I would advices you to mount headlight motor controller from Pantera Electronics. this will reduce the problem with the lights going down and this reduces the problem of high load on the light switch and turn signal switch. When Jon who sell this equipment, which by the way is first-class equipment spessial made only to pantera is the most pleasant and helpful person who provides a service and suport you have to search long for. so it makes this a very good deal Smiler I personally have just installed the fuse box from the Pantera Electronics and i am very happy with the product Smiler check out
