Lime Green Pantera on eBay

Yes, a true time capsule.

I don't know that I have ever seen a car in this color, though I knew it existed.

Needs to be bought, returned to full original and saved - in that OEM paint.

But I have a few other wishes above it on my list...

That was the original color of my Pantera before the original owner had it painted dark blue.

I like that car, I found myself contemplating it. Funny as I typically like the wider cars more. I reaaly dig that color!!

I plan on attending Reno and Monterey next year, so more people will be able to see this rather rare original color first hand. I didn't have the car back together in time for Reno this year, and I didn't have the time available for Monterey.

They are Toyo Proxes S/T. They are H rated (130mph).

The tread pattern looked similar to mine, which are also H rated and the correct height for the speedo. Your's must be 15" since you still have the Campy's.

They are 295/50HR15. The generic tire calculator shows them to be 0.12" smaller than the original 215/70VR15 michelins. It also shows that the speedo is about 0.6 mph fast.

In 1975 I drove 2 hours to look at a “green” Pantera. I was expecting a “Hunter Green”.
When farmer Brown opened the barn doors I was greatly surprised. I did not even know that this shade of green existed. At the time I could not get warm and fuzzy with what was actually a very nice car. Today I love the color as it is so period correct.

Strangely, a year later I purchased a 74 X-19 as a daily driver in just this color of green.

You're not alone. A lot of people still don't know that this is an original color. As I posted in another thread, this color (Lime) was only available on the 1971 cars. According to my Marti report, only 87 (of the 1971) cars were painted this color.

The first Pantera that I ever saw was this color. I saw it in late '71, and in Jan, '72, I owned one.
