Well I'm off to my first car show and they're calling for 40% rain..go figure.

Glenn, if it rains a bit, it'll just give you another opportunity to polish your car and enjoy the beauty of its shape all over again. 40% is usually nothing so have a great time and post a few pics of the show after.

The car show was the "good ole boys" street rod show sponsored by Wix Filters. Guess who won "best of show". You got it, my little red Panters was awarded the prize. Very nice plaque and a boatload of Maguires products. The show winners will be on the WSOCFM.COM web site by Monday. Imagine that. an old guy in a Pantera winning best of show at a street rod event. There was unbelievable interest in the car and rain was only a light mist. Ask me if I'm grinning.

Congrats Glenn!! My car is not turned out nearly as nicely as yours and it still gets a boat-load of attention at any Street Rod event.
I think the number of visitors to this site and the interest shown Panteras at car gatherings bodes well for our cars eventually being worth what we have in them!
From the photo it looks like your 40% chance of rain became closer to 100%!

yes the rain was misty all day but it was a blast anyway. A little wipe down and it was like quick detailer. AND it didn't melt!

Way to go Glenn! Last year I showed up at the local "All Fords" show. I had called ahead to see if I'd be welcome and they said "hell, yes!" I ended up getting first in class (exotic, race and modified) and the Best of Show. It sure feels great doesn't it? The Pantera is a star wherever she goes. Good for you for sharing your car and not staying home. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone. Yes, Mark, it does fell good to know so many people are fascinated by our cars. I had one guy with a Viper tell me he wished the Viper had the style of the Pantera.
