I saw something about loctite being used in replacing Pantera clutch. Is that just for the Pantera snowmobile? Trying to gather any needed info befor I replace my clutch in the 85 GT5. Purchased the Clutch package upon Jery's advice. Will resurface fly wheel for sure. Any other tricks I should know about? I am more of a tool hander kind of guy, but have a buddy coming down that is a jam up mechanic, so I will be handing him tools, and helping where I am able. Looking forward to experiencing the full 495 rear wheel horsepower for the first time from my built Boss 351 motor.

Locktite on the pressure plate bolts.
Do you have the disk alignment tool? Is Jerry sending you one?
It's a plastic tool that mimics the input shaft so the disk and press plate can be installed centered before the zf gets installed.
What clutch did Jerry recommend for your high HP requirements?
Thats a huge motor. What are the specs? Stroker, I suppose?

Every clutch shop has alignment tools, if not free, at a minimal cost. It's just a short piece of splined shaft (made out of plastic) that enables you to center the clutch as you gently tighten the pressure plate. Don't mess around if you don't have one, get one. It truly is worth it.

And yes get some Locktite on all bolts, the flywheel bolts and on the pressure plate bolts even it there are locknuts. (Added insurance) then torque as per shop manual.
