I have this stuf bolted on the rear of intake manifold and connected to a metallic tube entering the C6. It looks like an adjustable valve. Does anyone know what it is? (is it to regulate vacuum level?)
if my memory serves me correctly from my 1968 Ford Torino GT with a C6 trans it is the vacuum modulator it supplies vacuum to the valve body in the trans to set the shift points. if you want to see if I am correct take the line off and plug it and if your tranny shifts at wide open throttle I am correct. The above pics are for the engine timing. Let me know.
