(From Australia) Back in the early eighties, at a pool party at a friends house, a young buck rocked up in a De Tomaso Lonchamp Spyder in blue with white leather. While I ogled the car, the owner was tuning my girlfriend. (We are now/still married for 28 years. The girlfriend, not the De Tomaso). Fast forward, I bought a 1981 Ford F100 4x4, just for fun, bit of a work truck. Apparently in the early 80's, Ford Australia's experimental department was commissioned to cast blocks for the US Nascar series. These are the XE192540 cast blocks. Due to some cast issues with some blocks, they were sent back to Australia, and put into F100's Ambulances etc.I discovered one in my F100. Too good for an old truck I thought, so the hunt went out for a Lonchamp. I took some time to discover, but found the perfect car in need of a motor. The previous owner removed the original Cleveland and C6, and put in a Windsor and Manual gear box. The project was never complete, and now sits in my garage, waiting for the XE192540 block to be transplanted from the F100 (I have a standard Cleveland being prepared for the F100). So now I am on the learning curve for all things Longchamp. I have had other cars restored, and sadly I have two left hands. I have a few talented people lined up to do the resto, but may ask from time to time some questions from others hat have been through the same.

My car is build date 2/80. Any idea what series this makes it? Also, is there a list of changes for each series? I will post photos from time to time of the project, once I figure out how.

p.s. how do I attach photos? Sorry.

Thanks in advance,
