Hi suburb,
No it was a surprise. I bought the car "upon picture" in an private auction from a notary office, first time I did so. No time to think more than this when you can catch a GTS Longchamp at a decent price. On the other hand, there were no reason this Longchamp not having the cancer like others :-). I'm not afraid by this kind of job, so I took the risk. I must say it's not too rusty compared with others I've seen. The car is 57K kms only.

racheliane, just to compare to the rust in mine, some is similar, some I have way less of, some more. The worst and most surprising to me was in the C-pillar on the left, could stick my hand through. Mine seems to have no rust in the bottom at all.

Do Longchamp rockers have drain holes like the Pantera?

I have added a drain hole in the SS patch to make sure the inner wall will not trap water & mud

I have recoated with black spatter and replaced the worn original mat with fatmat

Rockers with front fender, 1 WE per side
inner fender walls, 1 day both sides once the interior is removed
My job doesn't give me much time for my hobbies, all of this is spread over 2 months
