Fredrik,

The M9424-A331 is discussed on several occaisions in the Engine Forum. It was cast by Edelbrock for Ford and is indeed based on the Torker intake manifold. What differentiates this intake from the standard Torker is the modified runners. The roof of the runners are raised 6 mm and the floors are raised 12 mm compared to the ports of a 4V intake manifold like the Torker. This manifold was designed to mate with the Ford/SVO M6049-A3 high port cylinder heads.

The carburetor mounting pad of this intake manifold is about 50 mm lower than the carburetor mounting pad of the high rise "spider" type manifolds. It is the only intake designed for Ford/SVO high port heads with a carburetor mounting pad this low. With a careful selection of parts I should be able to keep the induction system under the engine screen, no modifications to the body necessary. Which is my reasoning for selection of this particular manifold.

your friend on the DTIC
I have an A331 High Rise already but I figured it would be nice to have a low rise .. I was outbid on EBAY so just as well its not the correct one for my application .. so as you said Doug " deport it " you mean send it back to mexico ... probably better off there any way .. LOL

No if I have to deport it ..its better to butcher up a Torker which I have already .. there not worth much .. if I require a low rise thats the direction I will go. What did you say the deporting epoxy was called you got from Grainger ??

Thanks,

ROn

It's called Devcon Plastic Aluminum. You want the putty, not the liquid.
