I've only sat in a Mangusta once, and I'm 6' 1" tall. Obviously, those that have sat in these, I did not fit. I looked like I was in a clown car trying to get in, and then back out of it. Getting it on and off the trailer would be fine, but driving it any distance, these just don't fit me which is a shame, because they are one of the most gorgeous cars ever made........

Hello Mark; Never had the opportunity seat in a DeTomaso Mangusta, I'm 6'2" 220lbs.

Went looking to buy a Lola T70 replica...FANTASTIC LOOKING!!!...

The cockpit was for myself "Claustrophobic" and driver's visibility limited...still kinda regret not buying the Lola!!!...Mark
That isn't Ben's car. Nor mine, which looks similar (yellow 2-lamp) both of which are later builds. The overall presentation of this car looks quite nice, except the interior which is pretty low-grade workmanship. Some typical things around the car are not right, others are really wrong (the AC is completely different from stock). Denis or Steve could make a long list of observations I'm sure. As for the price, it is fairly optimistic given the interior but several have sold at that range and didn't look a lot better than this one. The darker one at F40 is at the same price (give or take) with some similar faults but a much nicer interior, and is the "more desirable to some" 4-lamp model. If I was shopping, I'd go to see that one first.

All depends on the seats ,I have early one seats those are fit easier than the later style ,,sport"seats.

I owned a Mangusta 8MA758, which was one of two raced. I'm 6'6" and had a custom seat made to allow me to fit.

Agreed, the key factor is the seats. Stock don't work well for over 6'0".

Even so, the way the windshield sits over your head takes getting used to.

All of these cars are tight. In fact, the Ford GT's are pretty tight themselves too.

It all depends on what you are willing to put up with. A Pantera can be claustrophobic as well.

The 308 Ferrari I sat in as a passenger was very tight.
