Mangusta oil temp sensor | The De Tomaso Forums

I'm assuming the Mangusta used a Ford 289/302 oil pan. If so, anyone know where and how the oil temp sensor and wire was attached? Any photos?

Thought I had info on the sender but can't find it at the moment. Anyway, here is an additional photo of the unit, from 1010. No trace of a rubber boot as on Lee's car. A single green/black wire connects from the rear wiring harness.

Thanks, in fact I'm trying a sender that was also on my Ferrari 400i, it looks the same (!) at 16mmx1.5...if the needle moves at all, I'll be happy--Lee
