I was at the barret jackson auction this weekend and met a man who was restoring a 1970 mangusta. The original color is blue and he can't find the paint color code for that for that color. Any body got it ?
Thanks
Chuck

When I visited the factory in December 1970 there was a mix of new Mangustas and customer cars in for service. Looking at the photos I took that day I find the following colors:
black
white (Paris show car)
red
yellow
orange
silver grey metallic
tan metallic
blue metallic
green metallic
Every Mangusta I have seen over the years that I know to be original has been one of the above colors. However, since the Mangustas were built on the same assembly line as the Maserati Ghiblis I'm sure you could get one one in whatever color Ghia was shooting the Maseratis with.
8MA1256 was originally copper as relayed to me by the original owner. The car is now being painted back to it's original color by it's present owner to whomquote:Originally posted by Denis C:

As far as any reference could prove the paint used would be Glidden Salchi. Here is a pic of the color wheel used by Iso at the time ( remember that the Mangusta's design was first offered to Mr. Rivolta)
