Hello all:

I’m interested in the Mangusta at BHCC.

https://www.beverlyhillscarclu...mangusta-c-11280.htm

I need some help evaluating this car which is represented as 8MA710. I could probably discern an incorrect washer on a long hood Porsche, but have negligible knowledge on the Mangusta. Is there someone who could do a physical inspection of the car in L.A.?
I’m familiar with BHCC which is to say there may be numerous “hidden challenges.” That said, they surface a lot of interesting cars.
second choice would be a remote analysis by asking for photos and review.
Of course, I would compensate for a PPI.

All forum comments are encouraged and appreciated !

Thanks,

Bill

Thanks scifi.
I may get a chance to view the car early next week. I’ll continue to review posts and any other Mangusta information to improve my understanding. Any tips on a physical inspection are appreciated from you and the group. The Serial # is 710 in case there’s any specific information on this car.
On a related note, I contacted the individual at the “Mangusta Registry” via their Facebook account expressing my interest in obtaining the build sheet. I responded that 750 Euros was above my budget. Let’s just say I didn’t receive a warm response.
Thanks!

Bill, Provamo only lists "At one time in the mid 1990's this car was owned by Charley Allison in Colorado" and that the car is green, no photo.

But damn, glad that I was right on my guess (that it probably was 8ma710...) https://pantera.infopop.cc/top...58#26812249018395758 . Would love to capture the chassis number for their red car...

Thanks Leaa.
good call on 8ma710 - I smiled when I got the # and knew you had called it 😎.

I’ll try to get the red car number and pic.
Colorado ownership might indicate some rust issues. We’ll see what I can find.
Most of the cars at BHCC can be quite a challenge.

Bill, good luck with the inspection next week.  Probably not a perfect litmus test but it would be nice if you could get a look at the chassis area directly below the fuse assy...there's a (transverse) box-section sheet metal element that may indicate what the rest of that area looks like.  Also on my car the base of the A pillars was somewhat compromised but hard to diagnose externally.  As for the B-pillar and rear bulkhead zone, corrosion started low (rocker area) and had worked it's way ~6" up the lowest part of "B-pillar" structure.
