We have had several Mangustas and we have sold and serviced other ones at PI Motorsports over the past 10 years. We really love these cars and they are definitely rewarding to own. They are not as friendly as a Pantera that you can just jump into and take off, in that they seem to take a little more effort to drive, especially with the very heavy clutch effort. I believe the brakes are better in a Mangusta than a stock Pantera. The dash-1 could be a big challenge to repair or replace. Although parts are in short supply, how often do you purchase an upright or entire fender? If you are considering buying a Mangusta, go for the best one you can afford and don't cut a corner. If somebody gave you one for free or even with a few $K, it could be your worst nightmare if it is laced with rust or missing important parts. We know, we learned this lesson first hand. If you find a decent car, you will have a great experience, especially if you drive and show the car. Dave and Linda
