Mangusta window channel material - one option

I've bought a lot of window channel looking for something that fits well and finally found a solution - - channel for a Ferrari Boxer... it requires very minor trimming on the top edge but is dimensionally identical to the Goose material.

Photo shows 3 trimmed strips and 1 untrimmed strip to highlight the diff. Easy trim job with scissors. Once trimmed it stays in place with no adhesive tho I may use a small amount for the final install.

See Cigognani's website, part #16323926. Only down side is their high shipping cost$ so I make infrequent larger orders from them & spread the pain. For small purchases one of the US resellers would probably be best.

Any other good options for this troublesome part?!! Regard, Nate

Nate, I'm curious--what shortcoming did you find with the other pieces you tried? I have installed generic 9/16" channel appropriate for the glass thickness, but Covid has kept me from the car for a year next week and my only worry is whether the glass actually moves well in the frame...!

Great to see you are making such progress...can't wait to see yours finished (either! maybe 2021 will be a great year for both our cars...!) Lee

Hi Lee! I suspect what you found is plug & play and will fit fine so probably a better solution - hopefully you get a chance to check it soon. Re. generic solutions I'd heard that even JC Whitney had a good solution at one point....but I don't seem to find them easily when really needed!!

Looking at it honestly, I realize most of what I tried on the Goose were remnants from other jobs and of course they didn't fit right. I did however recently purchase material illustrated here.....numbers looked reasonable but those side bulges were a major problem...installed channel ended up being too tight for the glass. It DID have the all rubber construction like the original material, vice the 'cloth' look so common on 'older' old cars
