Got in my '71 Pantera after storing it for too long, and found that the clutch m/c was leaking internally, and the m/c and slave were not rebuildable. Searching this web site, I decided the best solution would be to get a new m/c ,a long-throw slave cylinder, both rebuildable, and an armored fluid cable. I didn't have any particular problems with the stock set up, other than having to set it up with the least free play on the slave possible to insure that the clutch would release. I was not sure if the 3/4" or 7/8" m/c would be better, so I found the following measurements posted here:
SLAVE CYLINDER
standard--.991" dia, (.625 throw)
long throw-- .866" dia, (.875" throw)

MASTER CYLINDER
Wilwood (stock)composite m/c--3/4" dia,
1.25" throw

When I calculated the throws for the two slave cylinder configurations, I got .7" and .95", which gives me about the performance I want to see without going to a larger m/c with a heavier pedal.

Any one see any reason not to use a 3/4" m/c?
